Person of Interest is an American television show that is created by Jonathan Nolan that present the lives of a former CIA agent,John Reese and a scientist, Harold Finch.

Cast
Jim Caviezel
Taraji P.Henson
Kevin Chapman
Micheal Emerson

Although "Person of Interest" is not that popular and well-known as others,it definitely is worth your time. The story revolves around the duo of an ex CIA agent and a scientist who set out to prevent crimes from happening before they are committed with the help of a machine made by the government with the help of the same scientist.
From the mind of the creator of The Dark Knight and Inception, this show has good screenplay, commendable acting and awesome plot twists. So if there ever is any time where you've wondered what television show to watch when you're out of your collection, this show can definitely worthy of it.

SHERLOCK

Sherlock is a British television show about the great detective Sherlock Holmes and his ever faithful friend and companion Dr. Watson. This show is presented in a different way then the other versions of Sherlock Homes and is set in the modern day world in a contemporary style.

Created by
Steven Moffat
Mark Gatiss

Cast
Benedict Cumberbatch
Martin Freeman
Mark Gatiss
Rupert Graves
Andrew Scott

As much as we like to believe the idea of Sherlock Homes resting on an armchair in a room filled with smoke from his cigar while Dr. Watson gives him company, this show changes quite much of that.Yes,its true that Sherlock now has the aid of modern day gadgets and takes only nicotine patches, but much of the plot throughout the whole season is exhilarating and the cliffhanger at the end of the season is something you would have never guessed or anticipated. Also the acting of the arch-villian Jim Moriarty(portrayed by Andrew Scott) is quite extraordinary. The worst part is there is only 3 episodes per season annually. This show definitely packs a punch and is something to look out for.

Although the story plot is quite ordinary and similar to other detective sitcoms, the main reason why "Castle" has been a huge hit is because of good screenplay, commendable acting and sizzling chemistry between the 2 lead actors.Castle's antics and jokes also manage to bring a smile to the viewer's faces, while the confidence of Kate Beckett and her personality is something to admire to.Most of the episodes are standalone stories while the season finales and a few in between deals with the main plot-Beckett's mother's murder. Now that after the finale of season 4,we have seen Castle and Beckett become a couple, how will they tackle the struggles in front of them? And how will they manage to keep their relationship work and still work proffessionally together at the precinct? All the answers will be coming up in Season 5.Don't miss it...

4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days is a Romanian Film originally titled 4 luni, 3 saptamani si 2 zile. The plot involves an illegal abortion in 1980s Romania. Aptly titled competently directed this movie is definitely watchable. It never really leaves you spellbound but Anamaria Marinca’s performance as Otilia leaves you wanting more. Watch the movie just for her.

THE INCREDIBLES (2004)

Director: Brad Bird

Starring: Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Spencer Fox, Jason Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Peña, Brad Bird

Plot Summary: A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world.

As always, Pixar excels with its animation, but what makes this family film even more appealing is the smartness of the script, which is clearly written, end to end, to appeal to adults as well as children.

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM(2007)

Plot Summary: Jason Bourne dodges a ruthless CIA official and his agents from a new assassination program while searching for the origins of his life as a trained killer.

It twists and turns without losing its footing, and its hero, an international man of mystery even to himself, is always ahead of the game, daring his would-be assailants - and the audience - to guess his next move. The trick is to try and keep up.

Plot Summary: Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his army.

Avengers Assemble will unquestionably provide two and a half hours of geek nerdvana for Marvel fanboys, it will likely prove too 'big' and comicy for those who prefer their comic adaptations more grounded.

THE PRESTIGE (2006)

Director: Christopher Nolan

Starring: Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale ,Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Piper Perab, Andy Serkis, Rebecca Hall, David Bowie

Plot Summary: The rivalry between two magicians is exacerbated when one of them performs the ultimate illusion.

The film is never less than engaging, though considering that the title The Prestige refers to the moment in a magic act that gives it its "wow" factor, it's kind of a shame that the ultimate "reveal" in the movie is a little too tricky for its own good.

Director: Martin Scorsese

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio and others

Plot Summary: Drama set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding nearby.

As hard as Shutter Island works to convince you that is a dumb but flashy thriller when it is actually a fairly smart one. You will keep asking yourself What is real? What is delusion? What is decent?

Director: James McTeigue

Starring: Hugo Weaving Natalie Portman and more

Plot Summary: A shadowy freedom fighter known only as "V" uses terrorist tactics to fight against his totalitarian society. Upon rescuing a girl from the secret police, he also finds his best chance at having an ally.

Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman both shine in this awesome adaption of a Moores comic series. Spectacular movie in my opinion. Blends modern-day politics with good old-fashioned  freedom, justice, dissidence and retribution.

A classic prison break movie, whose whole concept and execution rests on the dependable shoulders of Russell Crowe. The script agreed is not without its faults but its fast pace leaves no time to ponder over its shortcomings. I recommend this movie to all those action seeking buffs.

LAW ABIDING CITIZEN

Director:
F. Gray Gray

Writer:
Kurt Wimmer

Starring:
Gerard Butler
Jamie Foxx
 Leslie Bibb
Colm Meaney and others

Bloody, violent, gruesome, unethical and frankly unbelievably unbelievable, this movie makes a mockery of the judicial system and attempts to get away with it. With an ending most people found unfathomable this movie was trashed by the critics. But somehow I thoroughly enjoyed this no holds bar flick. With nothing worth mentioning in the acting, script or direction field this movie worked for me as a complete package.

Aarnav: The movie centers around extremely intelligent man who was a former assassin for the CIA(their best). But some how i fail to see how any of his assassination attempts were intellectual. No basis of what hes trying to achieve or why he is fooling around with some detective all in the name of revenge. The title makes no sense especially if Gerard Butler keeps breaking out of prison every time to assassinate people-It's hard to digest how he maneges to be a "LAW ABIDING CITIZEN".

Crass and unabashed, this movie is dirty and is not afraid to pass of as one. Great performances make up for the shoddy writing making this an enjoyable ride. With a running time of a crisp 98 minutes watch this movie when you have nothing better to do and you will enjoy this ride.

MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

I am a huge cynic when it comes to rom-coms because I frankly feel the genre is a complete waste of time. But every now and then exceptional movies from the genre make me eat my own words. This is acase of one of them. Midnight In Paris is compelling and smart and makes you root for Owen Wilson throughout the movie, which incidentally is his best performance of all time. Woody Allen is in crackling form with this particular flick.

Pan’s Labyrinth is one of the very few foreign movies, I have watched.  Originally titled El laberinto del fauno this movie is a homage to childhood fantasies and a testament to the places our imagination can take us if we just follow our dreams. Beautifully crafted this movie is a must watch if you are dwelling about which foreign movie to start with, though the effects of subtitles don’t match the level of the original dialogues.

CHANGELING

Director:
Clint Eastwood

Writer:
J. Michael Straczynski

Starring:
Angelina Jolie
Amy Ryan
Colm Feore
Gattlin Griffith and others

Changeling surprised me. Okay agreed it’s a Clint Eastwood movie, so the fact that it is a beautiful movie should not have surprised me but it did. Eastwood is known as a director who believes in character-centric films so when he approached Jolie for the role the only reaction it drew from me was a face palm. But my opinion of Jolie as an actor changed over the course of the movie. I definitely recommend it for an engrossing script but mostly for Jolie’s EXCEPTIONAL performance.

MOVIES TO LOOK OUT FOR 2012

Here is my list of all the upcoming movies to look out for.

The list is based on popular:

-Liking
-Hype
-Buget
-Pre-requisite story
-Concept
-New form of animation/movie making
-Sequals to succesful films

Go ahead and decide what your going to watch.

2012

1.Skyfall (2012)

November 9, 2012

Plot Summary:Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

LOOKOUT:-For a film that once seemed as doomed as a Vesper Lynd, Bond's latest adventure marks the 50th anniversary of the character and the first outing with director Sam Mendes running the set. The narrative, with a focus on the strained relationship between Bond and M, is more interesting on paper than the idea of re-watching Quantum of Solace, and we already know what a fit villain Javier Bardem makes.

It's a MUST WATCH for any 007 fan. Bound to have amazing action and thrill.

2.The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)

November 16,2012

Plot Summary:After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

LOOKOUT:-To what degree the real-life separation of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will influence the box-office performance here is unknown. What we can say is that the novel on which its based had some bite and some over-the-top energy these movies sorely need, but ultimately we fear the finale will be somewhat like your high school commencement: full of pomp, pageantry, a lot of boring people talking, good-byes to friends you've had for the past four years, and a bit of emptiness in the part of your heart where a twinkly-skinned vampire, a sullen-yet-determined girl, and an egregiously shirtless werewolf used to dwell, whether by your choice or the force of marketing. To Edward, Bella and Jacob: on-screen BFFs forever - stay cool over summer!

I suggest a PASS, if you are not a die hard fan.

 3.Life of Pi (2012)

November 23,2012

Plot Summary:The story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific Ocean.

LOOKOUT:-When the tiger and the other animals heard that M. Night Shyamalan was originally set to direct, they refused to get on the boat. Enter Ang Lee and the film is out ahead of most other year-end releases as a definite Best Picture candidate.

Remake of an amazing book. If you have read it  liked it it's a must watch. Otherwise its just another feel good movie.

4.Rise of the Guardians (2012)

November 23,2012

Plot Summary:When the evil spirit Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world.

LOOKOUT:-Peter Ramsey, who worked as head of story on Monsters vs Aliens, takes to the director's chair for the first time with an adaptation of William Joyce's book, The Guardians of Childhood (Joyce has handled the screenplay). Sort of like a folklore version of The Avengers, the first thing that strikes me is heavy Japanimation influence; the second is the realization that DreamWorks Animation has never worked from pre-existing characters until now.

Animated fantasy adventure. If your a big fan go ahead and watch it.

5.Killing Them Softly (2012)

November 30,2012

Plot Summary:Jackie Cogan is a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game.

LOOKOUT:-The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford goes down as one of the starriest films to be passed over during its initial release, but Andrew Dominik's second film -- as cult-y and enduring as his debut, Chopper -- has earned its audience over time. And when your fans include Harvey Weinstein and upstart producer Megan Ellison (a true hero if the film industry has one, especially since she avoids the press), talent and money follow. Hollywood would be wise to generate more high-profile, hard-boiled thrillers for the worldwide audience.

Brad Pitt is to look out for apart from that another action thriller.

6.The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

December 14,2012

Plot Summary:A curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.

LOOKOUT:-This is the most anticipated prequel since ... The Phantom Menace? Peter Jackson's return to the work of J. R. R. Tolkien and the masterful universe that Jackson and his crew created is the kind of event that shatters records over at Apple trailers and revives ailing movie studios; interestingly, the two-part project has met some resistance from people who wonder what this all might have looked like if Guillermo del Toro had remained in the director's chair. I expect most traces of derision to be extinguished once we see a more expansive look at the project; admittedly, the initial trailer felt a little small in scope and underwhelming.

The Hobbits of  Lord of the Rings are back.Catch the movie if your a big fan of the franchise.

7.Lincon(2012)

November 9,2012

Plot Summary: As the Civil War continues to rage, America's president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves.

LOOKOUT:- Between the election-year parallels, the Tony Kushner-ness, and the assertion that Steven's Spielberg's upcoming film features his personal-best cast ever, we're genuinely excited for the first time in decade at the prospect of a Spielberg live-action history class!

Lincoln is a performance oriented flick with Daniel Jay Lewis touted for a win even before the release. Watch it just for him.

8.Hitchcock(2012)

November 23,2012

Plot Summary:A love story between influential filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock and wife Alma Reville during the filming of Psycho in 1959.

LOOKOUT:-Raise your hand if you think Anthony Hopkins's portrayal as Aflred Hitchcock has the potential to be even creepier than Hannibal Lecter -- especially since Sacha Gervasi's follow up to Anvil: The Story of Anvil delves into the director's romantic life, which went to more dark places than any of his films.

Hopkins performance is expected to be at par with his portrayal of Hannibal. The only realistic competition for Daniel Jay Lewis.

 9.Zero Dark Thirty(2012)

December 21,2012

Plot Summary:A chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the 9/11 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy SEAL Team 6 in May, 2011.

LOOKOUT:-Kathryn Bigelow's never known the level of controversy her follow-up to The Hurt Locker has generated. Even before cameras rolled on the recreation of the events leading up to the killing of Osama bin Laden, a government watchdog group has filed a lawsuit against the CIA and the Department of Defense since details of the reported meeting between the agencies, Bigelow, and writer Mark Boal have not been released via the Freedom of Information Act. Seems like the filmmakers have been privy to classified information. It's the sort of real-world drama the industry and those who write about it could mutually benefit from, a reminder of when American films used to resonate beyond our desire for entertainment. And how righteous the Internet can be as well.

The most controversial movie of the year should be worth a look courtesy Bigelow's knack for making hard hitting movies.

 10.Jack Reacher (2012)

December 21,2012

Plot Summary:A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.

LOOKOUT:-Almost exactly one year after Ghost Protocol comes Tom Cruise's reunion with Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and produced Valkyrie. McQuarrie is taking his second turn behind the camera as director of this adaptation of Lee Child's novel, which has been on the Paramount lot since 2008. It's a tall order to make a movie as universally entertaining as M:I4, but if the world embraces Cruise as homicide investigator Jack Reacher, there's a bounty of other Reacher adventures from which to choose.

In this particular list this is the most avoidable movie after Breaking Dawn Part II.

11.Monsters, Inc. (2001)

December 21,2012

Plot Summary:Monsters generate their city's power by scaring children, but they are terribly afraid themselves of being contaminated by children, so when one enters Monstropolis, top scarer Sulley finds his world disrupted.

LOOKOUT:-Sulley & Mike return to the big screen in 3D to reintroduce themselves before we go back in time to their early days at Monsters University next June. Does this mean Bill Crystal will host the Oscars again, too?

After the success of FInding Nemo in 3D it seems like every great animated movie is going to be converted into 3D. I wouldn't exactly recommend the 3D version but the original is a must watch.

CRASH

Director:
Paul Haggis

Writer:
Paul Haggis
Robert Moresco

Starring:
Don Cheadle
Sandra Bullock
Thandie Newton
Brendan Frazer
Matt Dillion and others

Crash is built on multiple people’s everyday life situation and how it ultimately intertwines. Brilliant script only improves the quality of the movie but the real hero of the movie is Paul Haggis behind the camera. His vision gives a new direction to the movie and makes it more memorable. Matt Dillion is also fantastic as Officer John Ryan.
