The Shawshank Redemption is the most overrated film of all time. I agree that the movie is good and it is aided by compelling performances by everyone but the fact the this move is the most highly rated movie of all time on IMdB is farce and completely blows its effectiveness out of proportions. Watch this movie once you will not be disappointed but watch it while expecting the best movie ever you will end up hating it.
