Magic Mike is refreshingly original. Agreed that the movie is not exceptional but it is definitely a one time watch courtesy the script which is very well written even though it does not necessarily go anywhere. Channing Tatum is getting better and better but the performance that really stood out was McConaughey who does justice to his sadly underwritten role. This movie is far from perfect, but an original idea and Soderbergh's direction adds weight to it making it eminently enjoyable.
