Psycho is an Alfred Hitchcock classic. The iconic shower
scene is path breaking and tastefully done but unfortunately the movie is not
as path breaking as the scene. Yes I agree that 50 years ago the movie would
have been unpredictable but now guessing the whodunit for the contemporary
audience is very easy. Watch the movie for the background score and Hitchcock’s
vision.
Aarnav: Frankly times have changed and so have murder mysteries. Modern day plots have raised the standard so high that classics like psycho are almost forgotten. The movie is an antique and has passed its shelf life. But those who like antique can still go ahead and watch it.
